Police First

In 2014, the Commissioner's 100 successfully launched Police First, an organisation dedicated to transforming the most challenged communities by:

• making them safer,

• reducing crime, and

• increasing confidence in the police, by:

  • recruiting and developing outstanding individuals to be leaders in their communities and on the policing frontline.

Volunteers from Police Rewired created the first Police First website: Police First

Police First eventually became Police Now, a registered charity in England and Wales, and the mission has barely changed:

Police Now’s mission is to transform communities, reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, and increase the public’s confidence in the police service by recruiting, developing and inspiring outstanding and diverse individuals to be leaders in society and on the policing frontline.
